The Rally
The Rally is the backbone of the Pony Club movement. Kalgoorlie District Pony Club holds one rally per month from February to November, usually the second Sunday of the month. Riders are divided into groups depending on their age and experience. Our groups are named after breeds of horses, Polo Ponies are our beginners and Oldenburg's are our more experienced riders. There are 4 lessons per rally for each group, one of which is unmounted for theory or horsemastership. At each rally parts of the Australian Pony Club Council syllabus are covered and riders are encouraged (although it is not compulsory) to do their certificates. Riders must bring a log book to each rally. Go to our dates link for rally dates. Uniform link for our uniform.
Instructors

Announcements
Announcements are made to keep all parents and riders up to date at lunchtime at each rally. Certificates will be handed out during announcements . Please get to the canteen area ASAP for the announcements as our rallies are run on a tight schedule.
Attendance Cards
Each PCAWA rider is given a Rally Attendance card on joining the club. Each rally attended should be recorded on the card, and signed by one of the Executive or Chief Coach. A rider & their horse may visit another club to get a rally but must ring the secretary or Chief Instructor for permission to visit. Our Zone Camp may be counted as one working rally. To enter in many of the pony club competitions, the horse and rider combination must have attended three working rallies of a pony club, in the previous 12 months, two of which must have been at the club they are representing. A maximum of 2 horses per rider may be qualified at a rally. Attendance cards must be shown at One Day Events run under PCAWA rules, so if you are competing it is your responsibility to collect the card from the rally committee before your event.
